About us

Citizen Advice Hammersmith and Fulham (CAHF) is an independent charity that provides information, education and advice services to help people resolve problems. CAHF is part of a national network of over 300 individual charities that deliver advice across England & Wales overseen by a national framework provided by Citizens Advice.

CAHF is one of the busiest local Citizens Advice services in London, based in Avonmore Library and Neighbourhood Centre from where we deliver the Library Service through our dedicated team of volunteers as well as traditional advice services. We also work in community settings working in partnership across the Borough to deliver accessible advice and assistance.

CAHF is a flagship service, recognised nationally for its innovative approach, its award winning performance, its strong volunteering programme and exceptional partnership working. We place our clients at the centre of everything that we do and take a community centred approach to ensure that we are meeting need where it arises.

Our strategies focus heavily on eliminating need as far as possible by taking a preventative approach and empowering communities to take back control of their lives and build independence and resilience. Where we provide interventions to help, we do so by providing services that build capacity and strengthen communities.
